Formative evaluation
Formative evaluation is an invaluable tool in the successful piloting and implementing of new initiatives. At AlphaPlus we provide independent formative evaluation to support the piloting or trialling of new approaches, curriculum or products. We work closely with the client’s project team and practitioners in the field to ensure the timely feedback of key messages to inform ongoing pilot work, policy and product development.
Our work has also included fielding multiple teams that can offer ‘critical friend’ support for practitioners piloting or trialling initiatives through action research projects and independent overarching formative evaluation of pilot processes and/or outcomes.
We are currently the independent evaluator for the pilot of the linked pair of GCSEs in mathematics.
