Summative evaluation

The need to evidence the impact of change funded by the public sector is increasing. Especially during times of cut-backs, the use of public money to fund initiatives needs to be transparent and justified in terms of value and impact.  Robust independent summative evaluation, including impact studies, is an effective way of ensuring practice-based evidence of both the processes undertaken as well as the outcomes inform policy decisions. AlphaPlus' current work in this area includes the DfE / QCDA evaluation of the impact of changes to A-levels and GCSEs.
