AlphaPlus is one of the UK’s leading educational consultancies. AlphaPlus associates hold a framework contract via their employer or as a self-employed individual and then receive an engagement schedule for each project they join us on. We undertake DBS checks on all staff and associates. As well as maintaining project contacts, we send regular newsletters to all associates and welcome updates on their new skills and experience.

We are always interested in speaking to prospective new associates in all areas of educational practice. We engage associates on a project-by-project basis, selecting each member of the project team (led by an AlphaPlus director) against the requirements of the project, using our knowledge of each associate’s expertise and experience. We strive to maintain excellent relationships with our associates, and we believe this is reflected in the quality of work which our associates repeatedly produce. Many of our associates have been working with AlphaPlus since the inception of the company.

Test Administrators 

Application Closing Date: Noon on Monday 3 April 2017

We are currently recruiting a team of test administrators located across the UK for pre-testing in primary and secondary schools, to work on a range of subjects, in both English and Welsh.  The number of days’ work per annum will vary depending upon the requirements of the project work.

The test administrators must complete face-to-face training sessions on the organisation and delivery of the pre-tests.  They will be responsible for:

  • receiving and familiarising oneself with test materials and process
  • contacting schools to confirm timetable and logistics
  • delivering pre-tests in schools
  • returning completed test papers and associated documentation in line with agreed protocols.

Applicants will normally possess strong GCSE and A levels including grades A- C in GCSE Maths and English, and a minimum of a good first Degree.  A good track record working in a relevant background is desirable.  Fluency in Welsh would be an advantage but is not essential.

PMO Administrator 

To start as soon as possible

Salary £25,000

Closing Date:  Noon on Monday 3 April 2017

The PMO Administrator will provide effective administrative support to the Operations Manager to ensure that projects are implemented to time, budget and quality, supporting varying projects over their lifecycle from planning to post-delivery evaluation.

This post is suitable for graduates with a good Honours degree.  Work experience in a related environment will be an advantage.  Candidates must also have strong GCSE and A Level results and a high standard of computer literacy.

This role is full time, Monday to Friday, based in the Head Office in central Manchester.
